Breast hypertrophy indeed has a significant physical and functional impact: pain in the neck, shoulders, back and lumbar region, discomfort when playing sports, clothing difficulties.

The aim of Breast reduction surgery is to reduce the volume of the breasts in order to give them a harmonious shape in relation to the morphology of the patient and to reduce the handicap linked to the excessive volume of the breasts.

Our preferences: breast enlargement

May be constitutional and appear at puberty.

It can also be the consequence of pregnancy and breastfeeding, hormonal imbalances or weight problems.

Correction of breast enlargement can be considered as soon as breast growth ends, around the age of 16-17 years, with no age limit as long as the patient is in good health.

The weight of the breasts gradually causes the breasts to sag. There is therefore also frequently breast ptosis associated with the hypertrophy.

A stable weight, closest to normal, is ideally desirable before breast reduction surgery.
It is a reliable intervention that in the majority of cases gives very good or even excellent results in terms of functional, aesthetic and psychological benefits.

The technique used is determined according to the excess skin and gland to be removed to reduce shoulder pain and facilitate dressing.

Alternatives: breast asymmetry

In the technique we use, called the "dermal vault", the reduction of the gland is carried out first, then the skin is adapted to this volume. This makes it possible to obtain a better gland / skin fit and to control both the tension on the scars and the tone of the breast over time.

This technique is also particularly suitable for significant breast asymmetries and symmetrization in the case of contralateral breast reconstruction.

The patients are operated on in a semi-seated position in order to judge the aesthetic result throughout the operation.

The UrgoTouch laser is indicated for the treatment of surgical scars, it aims to improve the scar result in a single session, by acting at the end of the intervention before the inflammatory phase
